Red Russian Kale

What is Red Russian Kale?
Kale is a nutrient rich member of the cabbage family. It is considered one of the healthiest vegetables you can add to your diet. Red Russian Kale has a milder taste and is more tender than other varieties.

When is Red Russian Kale available?
Kale may be the hardiest vegetable we grow. It is transplanted in the spring, ready for its first harvest in mid-June, and will continue producing until the winter snow comes if left alone. Unlike lettuce it doesn’t bolt in the Summer heat. Expect to see Kale often in the CSA this year.

How do I use Red Russian Kale?
Baby kale leafs can be used in salads. Full-sized leafs are best sauteed or can be used in soups.
