2017 CSA Week 3

by danberube on July 16, 2017

Hello Farm Friends!

It is already week 3, which means I’ve been able to see all our full season members twice now and started to receive feedback on how you’ve been enjoying your veggies. Remember, I’m happy to talk about what we’re growing, how you can use it in your cooking, and what is going on in the fields. If you want to see how something is growing, just ask and I’m happy to take a walk into the field with you.

We hit a big farm milestone for the season on Saturday with the beginning of our garlic harvest. Hundreds of cloves of garlic have now been picked and trimmed, and are curing under heat lamps. Expect to see garlic in your share starting the first week of August.

In the field we are seeing a nice burst of growth from the peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, cucumbers and winter squash. It will still be a few weeks until we start to see some of those crops but they are making excellent progress and we should have a nice bounty for all of you in August and September.

See you at the farm!
-Dan
