2017 CSA Week 12

by danberube on September 17, 2017

Hello Farm Friends!

We’re preparing for a big rainstorm on Tuesday. Over an inch of rain is expected, which means we have to get as many tomatoes harvested as possible, because the ripe ones will fill up with too much water and burst! If you have any tomatoes in your home garden, pick the ripe ones Monday night so you don’t lose them.

Other than that, it’s business as usual. We probably won’t have anything new in the share for the rest of the season, but we’ve still got plenty of butternut squash, cherry tomatoes, peppers, leeks, kale, and more to enjoy.

Remember we’ve only got 2 weeks left, so make sure you use up all your pickups for the season. If you need to know how many you have left, please email me.

Here is a list of what we are expecting to harvest this week. Please keep in mind this list is subject to change based on crop conditions.

Lookin’ Good
Bell Peppers
Hot Peppers
Butternut Squash
Red Russian Kale
Swiss Chard
